Inaugural Day

The academic year opening day ceremony of Mount Carmel CMI School Embu was held on January 12, 2024, at the school auditorium. The ceremony was attended by the students, teachers, parents, and guests of the school. The chief guest of the ceremony was Fr Babu Augustine, a renowned educationist and social worker. He was accompanied by Fr Jose Martin, the manager of the school, and Fr Kiran George, the head teacher of the school. The ceremony began with a prayer and a welcome speech by Fr Jose Martin, who thanked the chief guest for his presence and congratulated the school for its achievements. He also highlighted the vision and mission of the school, which is to provide quality education and holistic development to the students, based on the motto of "Shine to Share".

The chief guest, Fr Babu Augustine, then addressed the gathering and praised the school for its excellence in academics, co-curricular activities, and discipline. He also encouraged the students to pursue their dreams and passions, and to use their talents and gifts to make a positive difference in the world. He urged the students to follow the values and principles of the Constitution of Kenya and the Education Act, and to respect the diversity and dignity of all people. The highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of the excellence awards to the students who performed well in the last year's Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination. The awards were presented by the chief guest, the manager, and the head teacher, who congratulated the students and their parents for their hard work and dedication. The students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the school and their teachers for their guidance and support.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Fr Kiran George, who thanked the chief guest, the guests, the parents, and the students for their participation and cooperation. He also thanked the staff and the organizers of the ceremony for their efforts and contributions. He wished everyone a successful and fruitful academic year ahead.
